How to Change Your Voicemail Message

Voicemail is a great way to greet your callers when you are not available to answer the phone. It also allows them to leave you a voice message as well. Although it is a great feature and found on most phones, it is also sometimes a hassle to access and configure it, especially the voice greeting. This article will teach you how to access and configure the voice mail greeting on most cellphones.

Things You'll Need

  • Cellphone

T-Mobile Voicemail

Step 1

Hold down the "1" key on the cellphone to access voicemail. Alternatively, you may call the number "123" to access voicemail as well.

Step 2

Press the "3" key to access the greeting settings in the voicemail menu.

Step 3

Follow the voice instructions given to you to record a new voicemail greeting.

Verizon Wireless Voicemail

Step 1

Dial "*86" and press the "Send" key to access the voicemail menu.

Step 2

Press "4" while in the voicemail menu to access the personal options menu.

Step 3

Press "3" while in the personal options menu to access the voicemail greeting menu.

Step 4

Press "1" while in the voicemail greeting menu to record a new voicemail greeting message.

Step 5

Follow the voice prompts to record and save your new voicemail greeting message.

AT&T Voicemail

Step 1

Dial "1-888-288-8893." When you hear your voicemail message play, press the " * " key to access voicemail.

Step 2

Press "3" to access the greetings menu from the general voicemail menu.

Step 3

Press "1" to record a personal greeting.

Step 4

Press "1" after you are finished recording your new greeting to save it, or press "2" to record another one. You may also press " * " to return to the main menu.
