If you are looking for a way to secure your home or office, wireless security cameras can be a great option. With a wireless security camera, you can view the camera feed from remote locations using any computer with an Internet connection. Wireless security cameras do not need to be physically connected to a computer using a USB or other data cable.

Step 1

Plug your wireless security camera's power adapter into an electrical outlet to turn the camera on. Wait for the camera to connect to the nearest wireless network and acquire an IP address, which will appear on its small display window in the "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" format. If your camera has a local area connection as well, you can connect an Ethernet cable with an active Internet signal to the network port on the back of your security camera.
