How to Delete Your ooVoo Account

While ooVoo does not allow users to delete their accounts, you can hide your profile from other ooVoo users by editing your account settings and removing personal information from your profile.

Mobile Application

Step 1

Log in to your account and tap the triple-bar icon to open the app's main menu. Touch the pencil icon to switch to profile editing mode.

Enter closed in the Display Name field. Touch the Change Profile Picture link and replace your current picture with a generic image, such as a close-up photo of an object or a picture of a blue sky. Save your new display name and profile picture by tapping the check mark icon.

Open the main menu again and tap Settings.

Select Privacy & Security from the Settings menu.

Prevent other users from finding your profile on ooVoo by selecting No One under Who Can Find Me.

Uninstall the application.

Desktop Application

Step 1

Open the ooVoo menu, select My Profile and click Edit My Profile.

Enter closed in the Display Name field.

Replace your current profile picture with a generic image by clicking Add a Photo From a File and selecting an image file on your hard drive. Save your new display name and profile picture by clicking Save.

Open the ooVoo menu and click Settings. Select Privacy from the sidebar.

Select Nobody may find or view my ooVoo profile under Connecting on ooVoo. Prevent other users from viewing your birthday or gender by selecting No One twice under Sharing on ooVoo. Save your settings by clicking Save.

Step 6

Open the Settings window again and select Notifications from the sidebar.

Prevent ooVoo from sending you notifications by unticking every check box.

Step 8

Click Save, quit the program and uninstall it by running the bundled uninstaller.
