You can use the remote control to reset a Dish Network receiver.

Anytime you want to erase changes made to your Dish Network receiver, you will need to reset it. Resetting the receiver takes it back to its factory defaults. Your "Favorite Lists," except the "All Chan," "All Sub" and "All HD" will be deleted. But the remote control address settings and locks will not change, neither will anything you locked on the receiver, unless you unlock it first. Resetting your receiver will not allow you to change passwords either. Resetting your Dish Network receiver only takes a couple of minutes.
