The Apple iPhone is compatible with the online service TrapCall. When someone calls you the service will reveal the caller's phone number, including his name and street address too. Currently, TrapCall supports carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and Sprint. TrapCall offers three monthly plans and you can download the application from Apple's website. You'll need to set up your iPhone to reveal the phone numbers from callers that uses a blocked Caller ID.
Open the Web browser on your iPhone and type "Apple.com" in the search text field. Tap the "Search" button and tap the hyperlink "Store" from the menu bar. Type the keyword "Trapcall" in the search field and then tap the "Search" button. Click the "Download" button to install the application on your phone. Follow the software's installation instructions.
Tap the "Trapcall" icon to launch the application. Next, tap the "Create An Account" button and then tap the "Continue" button. Tap the "Phone" button and use the QWERTY keyboard to enter your Apple iPhone number in the text field.
Tap the "Carrier" button and enter the name of your phone's carrier in the text field. Tap the "Pin" button. Create a pin number and enter it in the text field. Tap the "Email" button and enter your email address in the text field. Tap the "Continue" button when you're done.
Type your personal information in the appropriate text fields and then tap the "Continue" button. Tap a TrapCall monthly plan that you want to use on your iPhone. As of July 2011, the available plans are Bear Trap, Mouse Trap and Bug Trap. Have your credit card information handy and enter your personal information in the appropriate fields for submitting a payment.
Follow the "Activation Instructions" and tap the "Continue" button. Near the bottom of the display screen you see the options Call, Voicemail, Blacklist, Support and Settings. Tap on the "Blacklist" option and enter a phone number that you want to block in the text field. When that persons calls you, TrapCall will automatically reject the call.
Tap the "Decline" or "Accept" button when you receive a phone call from someone who's using a blocked caller ID. TrapCall will automatically intercept calls from anyone with a blocked phone number. Her phone number, name and address will be displayed on your Apple iPhone, and you can decide whether or not to answer the call.
