The "Temporary Internet Files" folder in Internet browsers stores every piece of information you come across while surfing the web This includes websites, cookies, images and sounds which are kept for faster loading the next time the website is visited. This cache of Internet browsing information can be viewed on your Internet browser, and deleted if desired. Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox both have incorporated simple ways to access and view Internet cache history.
Viewing cache history in Internet Explorer
Open up the Internet Explorer browser window.
Select "Tools" in the top left menu bar, and select "Internet Options."
Select "Settings" under the "Browsing History" heading.
Select "View Files" to see your Internet cache history that had not been previously deleted, including file and object names, file and object sizes, and dates of last modification.
Viewing cache history in Mozilla Firefox
Open your Mozilla Firefox browser.
In the address bar, type "about:cache."
Select the "List Cache Entries" links to view the Internet cache history for your memory cache device, disk cache device and offline cache device.
Internet Explorer cache history can be deleted by selecting "Delete" under "Browsing History."
Mozilla Firefox cache history can be deleted by selecting "Tools" in the upper left menu bar and then selecting "Clear Private History."
