You probably haven't thought about the iPod Touch in a while, considering Apple hasn't updated it since 2015. But here's some fun news—the iPod Touch is back, and it's the perfect starter phone for kids.

Video of the Day

While the new iPod looks pretty similar to the older version, a lot has changed on the inside. Messages can be sent for free over Wi-Fi to anyone using an iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, or Mac—an easy way to keep in touch with your kids at all times. They can even add animated text effects, stickers, share their location, and send links.

Group FaceTime allows for video or audio calls with up to 32 friends at once. While this may seem like a nightmare to most adults, you know how much kids are into their friends and FaceTiming.

The A10 Fusion chip greatly improves performance and graphics in games and AR experience. Apple Arcade is a gaming service available on the iPod Touch that offers over 100 new games, which is basically like having unlimited access to an arcade.

A Screen Time feature lets parents and kids keep track of how much time is being spent on the Touch, broken down into the various categories.

Choose from six colors: pink, silver, space gray, gold, blue, and red.

The pricing starts at $199 for the 32GB, and you can now get a 256GB version in case you need a tremendous amount of memory.
