How Can I Download iTunes for Windows Vista?
Any iPod owner almost exclusively uses the media player iTunes for all for their music needs. Even though Apple owns iTunes, this leader in media players has expanded its base to multiple operating systems. For owners of Windows Vista, iTunes is also available, but there are a few extra steps you need to take before installing the program.
Visit Apple's iTunes website. This is the only place that you should download iTunes, because any other location may be embedded with viruses or spyware. The program is free, so there should be no problems with accessing it from Apple's official website.
Click on the "Download iTunes" button on the main page of the website. A new page will load showing you all of the features in iTunes. Look to the left side of the page to see the download options.
Check the boxes of the features you want. The first box is for receiving email about new music releases and special offers for iTunes. The second check box is for staying updated with new releases, software updates and general Apple news.
Enter your email address in the space provided. Press the "Download Now" button once the check marks and email sections have been filled out. This download is for 32-bit installations of Windows Vista. If you have the 64-bit installation, then you will need to install a different version of iTunes.
Scroll down on the download pages and look for the section titled "Windows Software." Underneath that section, there is a link for the "64-bit installer" specifically made for certain versions of Windows Vista.
Wait for the download to finish and then follow all of the prompts to properly install iTunes for Windows Vista.
