How Can You Stop People From Following Your Posts on Facebook?

By Heather Harris

There are many reasons for wanting to hide your Facebook posts from a certain person without altering your general security settings. No matter what your reason, the block function allows you to do just that. By spending just a few moments in your Privacy Settings menu, you can block a user to effectively make yourself invisible to them. Once blocked, they cannot see your posts, add you as a friend or send you messages on Facebook.

Step 1

Sign in to your Facebook account.

Step 2

Click "Account" in the top-right corner of the page and select "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu that appears.

Step 3

Find the "Block Lists" section at the bottom of the page, marked with a red circle icon, and click the "Edit your lists" link.

Step 4

Type the name of the person you want to block in the field provided, and click the "Block This User" button. A list of users with names matching the one you entered will appear. Click the "Block" button next to the correct person. Alternatively, if you know the person's email address associated with their Facebook account, enter that in the "Email" field and click the "Block This User" button next to it.
