How Do I Reset a BlueAnt Bluetooth?

Resetting a BlueAnt Bluetooth headset or speakerphone rolls the device back to its original factory settings and deletes the programming linking it a mobile phone. You may need to execute a reset for a number of reasons, such as when a firmware update is applied, the Bluetooth device is dropped, the device encounters interference or when the device is paired with a new mobile phone or computer.

Remove the BlueAnt Device from your Mobile Phone

Step 1

Power up your mobile phone and open the list of Bluetooth devices.

Step 2

Follow the manufacturer's instructions to remove the BlueAnt device from the list. The procedure will vary depending on the device. Close out of the Bluetooth page.

Step 3

Power down the mobile phone and wait 10 seconds. Turn the phone back on and go back to the list of Bluetooth devices to make sure that the BlueAnt headset is disconnected.

BlueAnt Q2 & Q2 Platinum

Step 1

Fully charge and then power up the headset.

Step 2

Press and release the "Vol +," "Vol--" and "Multi-function" buttons simultaneously and quickly to reset the headset. Once reset, the device enters pairing mode.

Step 3

Power up your mobile phone and enter the Bluetooth menu to re-pair the two devices.

BlueAnt V1 & V1x

Step 1

Fully charge and then power up the headset.

Step 2

Press the "Multi-function" button imprinted with the BlueAnt logo to activate voice commands. When prompted with "Say a Command," say "Settings Menu."

Step 3

Power up your mobile phone and enter the Bluetooth menu to re-pair the two devices.

BlueAnt S4

Step 1

Fully charge and then power up the speakerphone.

Step 2

Press and hold the "+" and "-" volume buttons down until the device displays a message confirming, "The BlueAnt S4 has been reset." Once the reset is complete, the headset enters pairing mode.

Step 3

Power up your mobile phone and enter the Bluetooth menu to re-pair the two devices.

BlueAnt Supertooth Light

Step 1

Fully charge and then push the microphone arm in to power down the device.

Step 2

Push the microphone arm out while pressing the "Vol +" button down. Once the device resets, the LED on the device will flash with alternating red and blue lights and enter pairing mode. Release the "Vol +" button.

Step 3

Push the microphone arm in to pop it out and turn the device on.

Step 4

Pop the microphone arm out while pressing the "Answer" button down. Once the LED on the device flashes with alternating red and blue lights, the device is ready to pair with your mobile phone.

Tips & Warnings

  • It takes about six seconds to reset the BlueAnt S4.
