How to Activate Fingerprint Reader

Fingerprint Reader is a software application and device created by Microsoft to enhance the security features of laptops and desktops. The software uses allows computer access via your fingerprint instead of an alpha-numeric password. Fingerprint Reader is very useful in the office and even on school campuses, primarily because it prevents other people from accessing files from your account using your password. Activate your Fingerprint Reader to take advantage of its security features.

Step

Click on "Start" > "All programs" > "Verisoft" > "My Identity."

Step

Click on “Log ON.”

Step

Click on “Next” in the Verisoft Wizard.

Step

Enter the password defined during the Verisoft software installation process.

Step

Click “Next.” Then click “Register Fingerprints” on the "My Identity" screen.

Step

Click “Next.” Select a “Finger” from the wizard window.

Step

Swipe your fingers across the sensor. The squares will change color when the scan is accepted. Swipe all fingers across the sensor until all four squares change color.

Step

Click “Next” to register the fingerprints.

Step

Click "Finish."
