How to Add a Favorites Folder to Firefox

By Fatima Farakh

Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popular Web browsers that people use to browse the Internet. Firefox is designed for multiple operating system platforms and available as a free download for all users. Using bookmarks (called favorites in other browsers) allows you to be even more productive in browsing the Web. Whenever you find a website that interests you, you can add it to your bookmarks to refer to at a later time. You can be even more efficient by creating specific folders for certain types of bookmarks.

Step 1

Open Firefox.

Step 2

Click "Firefox" in the upper-left corner and click Bookmarks (or just press "Ctrl" and "B").

Step 3

Click the location in the Bookmarks sidebar where you want to add a new folder to expand its contents.

Step 4

Right-click on the main folder that you want to add the folder to, such as "Bookmarks Menu," and click "New Folder."

Step 5

Enter the name and description of the new folder.

Step 6

Click the "Add" button to add the new folder.
