How to Attach a PDF in Facebook

Facebook is a social media website that helps you stay connected with friends, family and business partners. You can share pictures, websites and links to videos and other media from within your Facebook profile. You can also share a link to a PDF that you have uploaded elsewhere. However, if you want to upload a PDF directly to your profile and share it with your Facebook friends, sign up for a free account from Issuu.

Things You'll Need

  • Issuu account

Step 1

Sign up for an account on the Issuu website. As part of the registration process, you'll have to provide a valid email address.

Step 2

Upload your PDF to the Issuu website. Click the "Upload" button on your home page and fill in details about the PDF, including the name, a short description and keywords. Click "Upload file" to complete the upload.

Step 3

Wait for the PDF to convert. Depending on the size of your file, it could take several minutes.

Step 4

Click the PDF on the "My Library" page and then click "Embed."

Step 5

Click "Facebook" and then click "Add to Facebook." You'll be directed to the Issuu application on Facebook. Click "Allow" to allow the application to access your information and post the PDF to your profile.

Tips & Warnings

  • You don't have to use the same email address with Issuu as what is listed on your Facebook account. If you aren't logged in to Facebook, you'll be prompted to log in before you can accept the application.
