How to Block Google Ads

By Thomas King

Internet use has risen dramatically each year since the inception of the Internet. As of 2009, it is estimated that some 1.7 billion people use the Internet across the globe. Along with the rise in Internet users, Internet advertising has risen. So much so that the Federal Trade Commission has prepared guidelines for Internet advertisers to adhere to. While ads can be beneficial, many users find them frustrating. Fortunately, there are ways to block Internet ads, including Google ads.

Mozilla Firefox

Go to http://adblockplus.org/en/installation and click on "Install Adblock Plus 1.1.3."

Step 4

Select the country you are nearest to from the list and then select "Subscribe."

Step 5

Close Firefox and then reopen it. You will notice that the vast majority of Internet ads have been blocked.
