How to Change From One Size Label to Another in a Word Document

Microsoft Word has built-in preset label templates. Most sizes can easily be selected by manufacturer for your labels. You can also customize your label template. You can create a sheet of identical labels or individual labels in Microsoft Word. Labels can also be created through a merge of data, such as an address list, to create mailing labels.

Step 1

Open a blank document in Microsoft Word.

Step 2

Click on the "mailings" tab at the top of the page. Select "labels". A new dialog box will appear on the page.

Step 3

Click the "Options" tab or use the keyboard shortcut "Alt O". A new dialog box will appear.

Step 4

Select the manufacturer of your labels under the vendor drop down box. There are more than 25 different label vendors listed.

Step 5

Select the corresponding style of your labels in the drop down box located under product number. A product number and description will appear on your package of labels. You can also customize the size of your labels if the labels your are using is not included in the preset templates.

Step 6

Click new document for a template of labels to appear on the screen.
