How to Clear Internet Search History

By Kefa Olang

Whenever you search for content on the Web using search engines, the information is stored on your computer as Internet history and browser cache. This allows you faster access to it any time you need to search for the same thing. It is important to clear search history for privacy as well as security reasons. Regardless of whether you are using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, clearing search history and browser cache is a simple task.

Launch Internet Explorer and click the "Safety" button. Scroll down and click "Delete Browsing History."

Step 2

Place a check on all the options (e.g. cache, temporary Internet files, cookies) under the browsing history.

Step 3

Click "Delete."

Mozilla Firefox

Step 1
