How to Completely Reset a BlackBerry Curve 8330 to Factory Settings

By Tammy Clevenger

Users of the BlackBerry may find, upon rare occasion, that the device requires a master reset. This is performed if the BlackBerry freezes up or if the file system has become corrupt. The master reset reverts all settings on the BlackBerry to the default factory settings. Research in Motion (RIM), the creators of the BlackBerry, had the insight to build the master reset function into the software settings on BlackBerry devices. Performing the master reset will delete all data and applications from the device. Reinstall all applications after executing the master reset.
