How to Connect a Bluetooth With a Samsung Phone

By Ann Mapleridge

A Bluetooth headset or speakerphone can enable you to make and receive hands-free calls on your mobile phone. If you have a Samsung phone, connecting a Bluetooth-enabled device to the phone is fairly simple to do and can be done in just a few minutes.

Step 1

Power on your headset, speakerphone or other Bluetooth device and place it near your mobile phone.

Step 2

Press the menu button on your phone and then select "Settings and Tools" from the available options.

Step 3

From the settings menu, select "Bluetooth" from the available options, and then select "Add a new device" from the available options.

Step 4

Select "All devices" when prompted. You phone will now search for all of the Bluetooth-enabled devices powered on near it.

Step 5

Select the Bluetooth device you would like to connect to your phone from the options that appear. When prompted, enter the passkey for that device. The passkey is a series of letters and numbers that will typically be printed on a sticker attached to a headset or speakerphone, or included in the instruction book for other devices.

Step 6

Select "Yes" when your phone asks if you are sure you would like to connect to the device, and then start using your Samsung phone and Bluetooth device.
