How to Connect the Lenovo ThinkPad to TV
The Lenovo ThinkPad is a laptop that runs Microsoft Windows. Most Lenovo computers have smaller screens, with the largest ranging to around fifteen inches. If you are presenting to a large group, you may want to connect your Lenovo to a television monitor.
Things You'll Need
- Lenovo ThinkPad
- VGA cable
- VGA to RCA adapter
- Yellow RCA cable
Power on your Lenovo Thinkpad laptop and wait for it to boot completely.
Plug the VGA cable into the VGA port on the side of your laptop. The VGA port is typically used to connect your computer with a standard monitor.
Connect a VGA to RCA adapter onto the free end of the VGA cable. The adapter has one side that plugs into VGA cables while the other side accepts a yellow RCA cable. The yellow cable provides the video signal (red and white are audio cables).
Plug a yellow RCA cable into the RCA end of the adapter. Plug the other end into the "Video In" port on the television.
Power on the television and press the "Video" button on the television (the remote control may also have a "Video" button). If the image does not load the first time, it is because the cable isn't inserted into the first "Video In" port. Press the "Video" button again until the computer is displayed onto the television.
