How to Copy a DVD to a Hard Drive in Windows

By Andrew Schrader

Copying entire DVDs to a hard drive in Windows while keeping its file structure intact is a great way to back-up your movies. Instead of copying just the movie file, you can create an exact replica of the DVD (including menus, extras, etc.) and copy it to your hard drive using a variety of programs, including CloneDVD, DVDFab and 1 Click DVD Copy. Allow up to several hours for copying to complete.

Things You'll Need
