How to Create a Free Registration Form for a Website

Some websites require an Internet user to be a registered member for access to services and/or products. The material collected during the registration process can also be used as information and marketing tools by the website owner. Creating a registration form is beneficial, and you likely can do it for free.

Things You'll Need

  • Computer with Internet connection
  • Required personal information
  • Registration form with HTML codes
  • Access to your website

Step 1

Go to a website where you can create a free registration form, such as or Start the process of becoming a registered member by clicking on the "Sign up" button.

Step 2

Enter the required personal information, such as your complete name, username or User ID, password and email address. Read the terms and conditions, and use the back arrow button to go back to the sign-up page.

Step 3

Click on the "Create Account" or "Sign up" button. You will be notified on screen that your account has been created, or an email has been sent to your account. Click the verification link sent to your email to activate your account.

Step 4

Go to the "here" link to proceed to your Control Panel. Log in using your username and password, if needed.

Step 5

Pick "Create a New Form" or "New." If prompted, create a name for your new Web form, such as "Registration Form," and click "Submit."

Step 6

Choose "Membership Registration" under the "Form Wizard" category and click "Next." You may also need to choose your style by using the scroll-down menu next to "Theme," and click "Finish." If asked, create a "Thank You" page on your website. Then, copy and paste the link for your "Thank You" page, and click "Next" to proceed.

Step 7

Enter the name for each field. You can also select the field type, validation and field name requirement by using the scroll-down menu, then go to the "Next" button. Another way is by going to "Power Tools" or "Toolbox." Select the tool you like, and drag it where you want it on your registration form.

Step 8

Click each field name, and go to "Properties" or "Edit" to make changes. If given an option, customize your free registration form by selecting the text color, font, size, background and other details provided. Then, go to the "Update" or "Next" button.

Step 9

Select "Preview" to see a sample of your freeregistration form. When done, click "Finish" to finalize the form. Go to the "Save" and "Source" buttons or "Get HTML Codes" link to get the code you need. Copy and paste the html code into your website. You can check the tutorial by going to "Click Here" link. When finished, click on the "Log out" button.
