How to Customize & Lock Screen Wallpaper So It Will Not Change on an iPhone

By Jay Darrington

When you wake the iPhone from its sleep, the first thing you see is called a lock screen. The lock screen shows an image of your choice along with an icon to slide in order to get your iPhone screen back. If you don't like the default picture, you can change the image displayed on the lock screen and position it for optimal display.

Step 1

Tap on the "Settings" app on the iPhone home screen, then tap "Wallpaper."

Step 2

Tap on the "Lock and Home" screen images.

Step 3

Tap on the picture you want to use for your wallpaper.

Step 4

Tap the icon on the lower-left portion of the screen.

Step 5

Tap the "Set as Wallpaper" option.

Step 6

Position the picture with your finger, moving up, down, left or right. Align the picture with the center of the screen.

Step 7

Click the "Set" button when you have aligned the picture the way you want to lock the picture.
