How to Delete Internet Explorer

Microsoft Corporation offers Internet Explorer as their Internet browser. Internet Explorer is pre-installed on all computers that have the Windows operating system. Other publishers also offer Internet browsers and some may prefer to use a different browser, such as Mozilla Firefox. Perhaps you are a PC user who does not use the Internet so you have no need to have a browser installed on your hard drive taking up space. Regardless of your reason, removal of Internet Explorer is a simple process that only takes a few steps.

Step 1

Close all programs that are open on your computer.

Step 2

Click on “Start” and then “Control Panel.” Double-click the “Uninstall a Program” icon--this will list all programs and applications installed on your computer.

Step 3

Locate “Internet Explorer” on the list of programs; double-click on the program to begin the removal process.

Step 4

Follow the on-screen instructions, which will ask if you are sure you want to delete the program. Click “Yes” to continue the removal process. When prompted, restart your computer to complete the process.
