How to Double Space a Paper on Microsoft Office Word 2007

Microsoft Word works well for documents in a variety of fields and purposes. These standards make it easier for the person marking up or grading the paper. Step 1

Open Microsoft Word using the "Start" menu or the shortcut on the desktop. Click the Office button and select the "Open" option.

Step 2

Navigate to the location of your paper, click on it and click "Open." Press the "Ctrl" and "A" keys to select the whole document.

Step 3

Click the "Line Spacing" icon in the Paragraph group of the home tab. It looks like a few lines with some arrows next to it. Select the "Double" option to make the whole document double spaced. Click anywhere on the document to deselect your text.
