How to Enable Jit Debugger

By Brendan O'Brien

Visual Basic software is used by developers to create applications and programs. Within the software is the "Just-In-Time Debugger" that lets the developer know when the code they have written contains an error or an issue that may cause them problems. Although this tool is useful, it needs to be enabled within the software--a process that takes a few moments to complete.

Step 1

Launch Visual Basic.

Step 2

Click "Tools" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Options."

Step 3

Select the "Debugging" folder in the left column.

Step 4

Highlight "Just-In-Time" below the folder in the left column. Put check marks in the boxes next to "Common Language Runtime," "Native" and "Script."

Step 5

Click the "OK" button and restart Visual Basic.
