How to Get GIFs on a Phone
Modern cell phones include Internet browsing capability and the ability to send and receive text and multimedia messages, among other features. When you find a GIF image that you would like to send to your phone, save the image to your computer and email it to your device. Each mobile provider offers an email address used to send text and multimedia messages from your computer to your phone.
Save the GIF image to your hard drive by right-clicking on the image and selecting "Save As." Select a location on your hard drive, such as the desktop or "My Documents" folder, and click "OK."
Locate the address used to send email messages to your phone.
Open your email account and launch a new message by clicking "Compose," or "New." Attach the GIF image by clicking "Attach" and selecting the image from your computer's hard drive. Enter a message in the email's text box, if desired.
Place your cursor in the "To:" field in the blank email. Type your phone's 10-digit phone number, followed by your mobile provider's email address suffix as one word, without spaces. For example, 212-555-1212 is typed as firstname.lastname@example.org.
Press "Send" to send the message to your phone.
Open the text message on your phone when it arrives. The phone will alert you when the message arrives. Open the message by clicking the appropriate button on your phone. For example, T-Mobile Dash users press "Message" from the home screen to open a new message.
