How to Get Netflix Working on a Samsung Blu-ray Player

By Tara Kimball

If you enjoy watching movies at the touch of a button, connect a Netflix streaming account to your Samsung Blu-ray player. The Netflix-enabled devices include a Netflix logo on the outside of the case, letting you know that your player supports Netflix movie streaming. Configure your streaming account in minutes, put the popcorn on and make tonight a movie night.

Things You'll Need

  • Ethernet cable
  • Computer with internet access

Step 1

Connect an Ethernet cable to the port on the back of the Samsung Blu-ray player. Attach the other end to an open port on your router.

Step 2

Turn on the TV and the Blu-ray player. Change the input feed on the TV if necessary to view the Blu-ray player menu. Press "A" on the remote control to select Netflix.

Step 3

Scroll through the user agreement with the arrow keys. Press "OK" on the remote to accept the terms. If you have an existing Netflix account, choose the option to activate streaming. Select the free trial option and setup your account at the Samsung page of Netflix on your computer. Click "I am now a member" on the player after you register.

Step 4

Navigate your computer to the Netflix activation page when the activation screen appears on your TV. Enter the activation code from the screen at the prompt on the Netflix website.

Step 5

Add movies to your Instant Queue on the Netflix website. Press "A" on the remote to access the Netflix section of the menu. Use the arrows on the remote to navigate through the queue, and press "Enter" to choose a movie.
