How to Install the Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer 7

Installing the Google toolbar in Internet Explorer 7 lets you gain access to a variety of Google features inside your browser. After installing it, your browser will display the Google toolbar under your regular "Favorites" toolbar. The Google toolbar contains features such as a Gmail checker, a search bar and a Google Translate button. Installing the Google toolbar in Internet Explorer 7 requires you to download a small installation package.

Step 1

Visit the Google toolbar download page (see Resources).

Step 2

Read the terms of service and click on "Accept and Install" if you accept those terms.

Step 3

Click on "Run" in the file download window. Internet Explorer will now download the installation package and open it as soon as the download is complete.

Step 4

Restart Internet Explorer 7 when the Google toolbar installation is complete. Your browser will now display the Google toolbar.

Tips & Warnings

  • Google toolbar is also available for Internet Explorer versions 6, 8 and 9.
