How to Locate a Phone Number for Free by Name & City

By Julius Vandersteen

When you're trying to reach someone and don't have his current phone number, you might want to avoid paying a fee for calling directory services information through your landline telephone or cell phone service. Your local telephone white pages directory lists people by last name and often shows street and city information, but if the person you're seeking lives outside of the area covered by your phone book, look him up on one of the specialized Internet sites that allow you to search using the name and city.
