How to Make an Alarm Tone for the iPhone
The iPhone comes with a variety of applications that turn a cell phone into a device that is useful in a plethora of ways. From iTunes to Safari you can do everything with your phone from listening to music to browsing the web, and with the iPhone's alarm feature you no longer need a watch or an alarm clock.
Things You'll Need
To set your alarm, locate the clock icon on the main iPhone screen. Touch the "Clock" icon with your finger and a new screen opens up. On the bottom of the screen are four icons for World Clock, Alarm, Stopwatch and Timer. Put your finger on the "Alarm" icon and the Alarm Settings window will open up.
Touch the "+" symbol on the top right of the Alarm window with your finger. A new window appears where you can create an alarm. This window has "Add Alarm" at the top. the second line item reads "Sound." Touch to the right on this line and a complete selection of sounds appears. You can select "None" if you don't want a sound. Touch "Custom" if you have loaded your iPhone with custom ringtones or scroll through the list of standard tones that came with the iPhone. Every time you touch one of the sounds it will play it for you so that you know what you are going to hear when the alarm goes off.
Choose your alarm tone then touch the "Back" tab at the top of the window to return to the previous screen where you can set the time of your alarm and whether or not you want the snooze feature enabled. Label your alarm and set how it is to be repeated.
If you want a unique sound for your alarm, many websites offer ringtones for free or for purchase. On most of these sites you can select a passage from a song or other recording to use and download to your computer. Once you have downloaded songs to your computer you can import them into iTunes and make them available to use as a ringtone or an alarm tone when you next sync your iPhone.
