How to Play Flash Plugins on an iPad

By Matt McGew

Flash plugins are a type of multimedia component embedded in websites that display content in the Adobe Flash format. Flash content is usually video or interactive animation and many website games are written in Flash. The iPad can not play Flash files using the native Safari Web browser. It is, however, possible to download and install a Safari alternative from Apple's App Store. Cloud Browse is a service available for a fee from the App Store. The Cloud Browse app allows a few minutes of Flash play per session for free, and unlimited play for a monthly subscription fee. Cloud Browse allows you to play Flash plugins on Flash-enabled websites.

Step 1

Tap the "App Store" icon on your iPad.

Step 2

Tap "Search" and enter "Cloud Browse" in the App Store's search bar.

Step 3

Select the "Cloud Browse" application.

Step 4

Tap the "$2.99" badge to purchase the application and select the "Buy Now" option to confirm your purchase.

Step 5

Tap the "CloudBrowse" icon on your iPad's home screen.

Step 6

Enter the URL for the Flash-enabled website that contains the Flash plugin in the search bar. Tap the "Search" button.
