How to Post a Photo From My iPhone to Facebook

By Lara Webster

It seems that everyone and their mother (quite literally) has a Facebook social networking account. The site makes it easy to share information, keep in contact with old friends and post pictures. iPhone users can download the Facebook application and have access to their account wherever they go. Adding photos to a Facebook account from an iPhone takes just a few moments.

Step 1

Open the Facebook application on your iPhone. If you do not currently have the application, it can be downloaded for free from the App Store on your phone.

Step 2

Locate the status update field at the top of the application---a long round space with the words "What's on Your Mind" in gray. Tap on the camera icon just to the left of the field.

Step 3

Select "Choose From Library" if you already have the image you wish to post. To take a new photo, select "Take Photo or Video."

Step 4

Select the image from your iPhone's camera roll or take a new one. You may attach a caption to the photo prior to uploading by tapping the "Write a caption" space in the bottom center of the photo. Then tap the blue "Upload" icon in the lower right corner of the image.

Tips & Warnings

  • Photos added to Facebook from the iPhone will be saved in the "Mobile Uploads" photo album on your Facebook account.
