How to Recover a Previous Version of a Word File
You don't have to use Microsoft Word if you want to recover a previous version of a file created using that software. Windows has native support for the recovery of a previous version of a file, available directly from that particular file's "Properties" utility. Using Windows Explorer, you can recover the previous version of a Microsoft Word document in a matter of seconds.

Right-click on the Word document you'd like to restore to a previous version.
Click the "Previous Versions" tab.
