How to Remove Iexplore Virus
Many viruses imitate common Windows components to confuse users and trick them. You can only be sure that you have a virus if the path doesn’t add up to something a legitimate Windows process would use. Sometimes, though, even viruses use the important Windows folders people don’t want to touch out of fear. The Iexplore virus might replicate itself into other folders, installing multiple instances of itself in your computer.
Go to your Start menu, click "Run" and write "msconfig" in the box provided. Click "OK" and then clear the check box labeled "Load Startup Items." Click "OK" again and allow the process to restart your computer when you receive the prompt asking you to do so.
Go to your "Start" menu and click “Search.” If you use Windows XP, click “All Files and Folders” in the new Window.
Search for “Iexplore.exe” and wait for the process to finish.
Delete every instance of “Iexplore.exe” that doesn’t sit in your “Program Files\Internet Explorer” folder by right-clicking each file and clicking “Delete.”
Restart your computer.
