How to Remove Trojan Clicker
A Trojan Horse is a type of virus that invades your computer when you attempt to download an infected file or open an infected email attachment. The program then installs other software on your computer without your knowledge and attempts to send itself out to other computers. The Clicker Trojan is most often spread when you download a fake program that is advertised as a spyware removal tool. It's possible to remove the Clicker Trojan by shutting down its files and then deleting all of the changes it has made to your computer's registry entries.
Bring up your computer's Task Manager window by hitting the "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete" keys at the exact same time. Click on the "Open Task Manager" link and then navigate to the "Processes" tab when a new window appears. Click on the "Image Name" button directly underneath the "Processes" tab to arrange all the files your computer is currently using in descending alphabetical order.
Click on the scroll bar at the right side of the window and drag it down through the list of files that are being used by your computer. Check to see if the file named "lphcv34j0eacn.exe" is listed. Click on the file if it is listed, then click the "End Process" button to shut the file down. Repeat the procedure for the files named "PCAntispy_Installer_eng.exe," "v1201.exe," "PCCLEANPRO.exe ," and "PC-Antispy.exe" if they are in the list.
Exit the Task Manager window and click the Start button at the bottom of the desktop. Click inside the search box and type in the phrase "pccleanpro." Hit the Enter key and wait for the search box to populate with results. Right-click on any of the files or folders that appear in the search results and choose the "Delete" option from the pop-up menu.
Return to the search box and type in the word "regedit." Double-click on the registry editor program's icon when it appears at the top of the search results. Click on the "Continue" button if your operating system displays a new window asking for your permission to open the registry editor.
Click on the plus sign located to the left of the "HK_LOCAL_MACHINE" entry to expand the menu and bring up a new list of options. Expand the menu for the "Windows" entry and then expand the menu for the "Current Version" entry. Expand the "Explorer" menu and then click on the entry labeled as "Menu Order." Find the entry on the right side of the screen labeled "PC-Antispy." Right-click on the entry and choose the "Delete" option.
Scroll back up to the "CurrentVersion" menu inside the "Windows" menu. Expand the "Run" menu and then delete the entry named "PC-Antispy." Open the "Uninstall" menu inside the "CurrentVersion" menu. Delete the "PC-Antispy" entry. Return all the way back up to the original "HK_LOCAL_MACHINE" menu.
Press the "Ctrl" and "F" buttons to open the registry finding menu. Type in the phrase "60B244BE-559D-4269-B96E-CD264D828EC9" and hit the Enter key. Right-click the entry that will appear in the search results and delete it. Close the registry editor. Restart the computer to finish removing the Clicker Trojan.
Tips & Warnings
