How to Reset a Dish DVR Remote Control
Your Dish Network DVR remote control has the ability to act as a universal remote and control not only your dish receiver, but also your television. If you have replaced your television with a new television, you will need to reset and reprogram your Dish DVR remote. You will not need any special software to reset and reprogram the remote.
Turn on the TV that you want to sync with your Dish Network DVR.
Find the "Mode" button you want to reset and reprogram. To program your TV, press the "TV" button until all of the mode buttons blink. This happens after around three seconds.
Press the "Power" button. The blinking TV light should now stay lit.
Press the "Up" button on your remote to scan through your device's sync codes. On the remote, you SHOULD see four buttons that form a circle: up, down, left, and right. Press the "Up" button until the TV turns.
Press the "Pound" button in the lower right-hand corner as soon as the TV turns on. You have now reset your Dish DVR remote to sync with your new TV.
