By Jason Candanedo

The 403 error will make itself known as you are attempting to connect to a Web page through your Web browser. The Web page will be forbidden because the connection settings in your computer are not configured properly to allow access to the Web page. To eliminate the error, you will need to reconfigure your computer's connection settings. Once you do this, Web page access will be restored.

Step 1

Click the "Start" button located in Windows desktop and click "Control Panel."

Step 2

Double-click the "Internet Options" link to open the "Internet Options" prompt.

Step 3

Click the "Connections" tab.

Step 4

Click the "LAN Settings" option.

Step 5

Locate the "Use proxy server" link and take off the check mark from this option. Click "OK" to apply recent changes.
