How to Save Pictures From Safari on an iPhone or iPod Touch

Occasionally you may want to save a picture you see on the Internet to your iPhone or iPod Touch. If you can locate the photo using the Safari Web browser on the mobile device, you can save it in seconds.

Things You'll Need

  • An iPhone or iPod Touch

Step 1

Turn on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Tap "Safari" on the home screen of the device.

Step 2

Navigate to a website on your mobile device. Press and hold your finger to the photo you want to save to the device until a screen opens.

Step 3

Select "Save Image" from the choices on the screen. You are returned to the Web page.

Step 4

Press the "Home" button to return to the home screen of your mobile device. Tap the "Photos" icon.

Step 5

Click "Camera Roll" to open the album and reveal the photos inside. The photo you just saved from the Internet is in the album.
