How to Send Free Cards to Mobile Phones
A card is a simple way to express congratulations, thanks, sympathy or to celebrate a special event or holiday. It can be difficult to remember to mail cards ahead of time, so sending an electronic card, or e-card, to someone's mobile phone is an attractive option. With phones that have e-mail access, you can e-mail the card to the recipient and they will receive it on their phone. If the recipient has a traditional phone, you can text an e-card to them.
Sending the Card to E-mail
Open your computer's web browser and go to an e-card delivery site such as Hallmark, 123 Greetings or American Greetings.
Scroll through the e-card options to select the one most appropriate for your situation. Click on the card. This will take you to another screen where you enter the contact information, and your personalized greeting.
Enter your personal message in the text box. There may be a character limit, so check the bottom corner of the box to make sure you are within the limit.
Enter the recipient's e-mail address in the "To" box, as well as his name. In the "From" box, enter your name and e-mail address. Some companies will e-mail you a confirmation that the card is sent. Click "Send." The card will be instantly sent to the recipient's e-mail. If he has a smart phone, it will show up in his notifications, and he can view it on the phone.
Sending the Card By Text
Open your computer's web browser and visit a site that sends e-cards over text message. Scroll through the options and click on the card you like.
Enter the recipient's name and phone number, including area code, in the appropriate boxes. Enter your name, phone number and e-mail address in the appropriate boxes.
Enter your personalized greeting in the text box. Click "Send." The site will send the card to the recipient's phone via a text message.
