How to Send Music to Someone Via a Text Message
Sending music via a text message can be done by using online vendors who offer this service. With these online services, you need to use your computer to send a text message to the recipient's phone number. When you want to send music, some vendors offer free music on their sites while others let you upload your own music from your computer.

Text 4 Free
Open your favorite Internet browser and access the Text 4 Free website. Enter the phone number of the person who will receive the text message. Select the recipient's cell phone provider from the drop-down list.
Type the text message in the second step. The message is limited to 140 characters or less.
Select the number of free text messages that you want to send from the drop-down list.
Click the "Choose File" button and browse your files for the music file. Click the file and select the "Open" button.
Enter the validation code. Click "Send Messages."
Access the MP3 Tunes website. Click the "Create Free Locker." Type a user name and password. Select one of the available accounts. Click "Submit." Your account is created. Click the "Player" link.
Add files to the locker by clicking the "Load Music And Video." A security warning may appear to load an applet needed to load your music files. Click "Run." At the "Auto-Discover Music" prompt, select "Find Music Myself."
Click the "Browse" button to search your files for the music file you want to send as a text message. Click the file and the "Open" button. Select "Upload."
Click the "Add Song/Video" button. The Add Song dialog box appears. Click the "Choose File" button. Search your files and select the music file you want to send as a text message. Click the "Open" button and select "Continue." Add an artist name and title at the next prompt. Click "Save."
Click the "Player" hyperlink to return to your music locker. Locate your song in the music locker. Right-click the song and select "Send To Mobile." Type the recipient's cell phone number and click "Send."
Open your Google mail account and select the "Compose Message" button. Type the cell phone number in the specified carrier format (See Resources) in the "To" field. For example, if the cell phone provider is AT&T, the number would be formatted like this: "1234567890@ txt.att.net."
Type your message in the body of the message. Click the "Attach" link to add the music file. Browse your files and locate the music file. Click the file and select "Open."
Send the text message by clicking the "Send" button.
