How to Stop Getting Junk Mail from AT&T

AT&T is a major communications company that offers cell phone, Internet and local phone services to various parts of the United States. At times, you may notice an influx of junk mail or spam email from the company, trying to sell you a product or service. If the correspondence becomes a nuisance, there is an easy way to excise yourself from the company's listings.

Junk Mail

Step 1

Call 800-331-0500 if you are a wireless customer and 800-288-2020 if you are a residential customer. If you are not a customer and wish to stop receiving mail, call either number; if you ar ea customer, have your account number handy.

Step 2

Follow the prompts to speak with a customer service representative.

Step 3

Ask to be taken off all mailing lists. Make sure they understand that you do not want junk email sent to your address any longer.

Step 4

Obtain the customer service representative's contact information at the end of the call so if there is a problem, you can call them back directly.

Junk Email

Step 1

Open the one of the emails you have received from AT&T. Click the "Unsubscribe" link that is embedded in the email.

Step 2

Hit the radio button next to "Remove yourself from all AT&T commercial emails."

Step 3

Type your email address in the field and click the "Continue" button.

Step 4

If you still receive junk email from AT&T, call 800-331-0500 if you are a wireless customer and 800-288-2020 if you are a residential customer. You can also email privacypolicy@att.com and request to be taken off of any AT&T marketing and sales lists.
