How to Undelete an App on Your iPhone

By Lara Webster

iPhone applications can sometimes seem to be too much of a good thing. A phone with too many apps can be cluttered, making finding what you are looking for somewhat difficult. From time to time, you might even delete an application from your phone in an effort to clean and organize your device. Luckily, this process is not permanent -- applications can be reinstalled to an iPhone quite easily.

Step 1

Plug your iPhone into the computer that has previously been used to sync your iPhone. Use your USB cable.

Step 2

Open iTunes and click on the name of your iPhone under "Devices" on the left-hand toolbar.

Step 3

Select "Apps" from the upper toolbar of the iPhone screen.

Step 4

Locate the application that you want to reinstall on your iPhone from the list of all programs. Check the box just to the left of the application.

Step 5

Click "Sync" in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

Tips & Warnings

  • iPhone applications can also be reinstalled by purchasing the app again from the App store on your phone. You will not be charged for an app for which you have previously paid.
