How to Unhide a Person on Facebook

When someone on your Facebook friend list "over shares," your natural reaction may be to hide him from your homepage news feed. If you later regret your decision to hide him, don't sweat it--a friend is easily restored to your Facebook news feed. When you unhide a friend, his recent posts will appear on your feed, and all his future updates will show up in real time.

Step 1

Go to the Facebook homepage. Make sure your news feed is in "Top News" view, and then click on the "Most Recent" link at the top of the feed.

Step 2

Click on the gray downward arrow to the right of the "Most Recent" link. Choose "Edit Options" from the menu. A pop-up window will appear that lists every person, application and page you have previously hidden from your feed.

Step 3

Click on the small "x" immediately to the right of your friend's name in the "Hide posts from" list. The friend will be removed from your hidden lists and her posts will be restored to your news feed.

Step 4

Select "Save" at the bottom of the pop-up screen.
