How to Unhide Facebook Friends' Updates on My News Feed

By Jay Leon

Hiding updates from some of your Facebook friends makes it easier to keep track of stories from the people, pages and apps that interest you the most. It is especially useful if you are connected with hundreds of people who post stories to Facebook regularly. You can easily unhide a friend's updates if you later decide that you'd like to restore them. When you show a Facebook user's updates, you have the option of hiding individual posts if you wish.

Step 1

Direct your browser to and log in to your account. Click "News Feed" on the left pane if you are not taken immediately to your news page.

Step 2

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, below the latest stories from your friends. Click "Edit Options." You can also access this option by clicking the arrow next to "Most Recent" at the top of the news page.

Step 3

Look in "Hide posts from." Under "Friends," click the "x" next to the name of the friend whose updates you wish to unhide.

Step 4

Click "Save." The dialog box will close and your friends' updates will reappear in your feed.
