When the USB 2.0 drivers aren't working properly or are not current, you will not be able to connect flash drives, external hard drives or printers to your system. Updating the USB 2.0 drivers on your system is not very hard when you enlist the help of the Windows Update software that came with your Windows Vista system.

Step 1

Click the "Start" menu and then go to the "All Programs" tab. Click the "Accessories" button and click on the icon labeled "Windows Update" from the menu.

Step 3

Wait for the computer to scan for the "USB 2.0" drivers and then click on them.

Step 4
