A solid product. Despite some flaws, it's still a good value.

PROS

  • The PIXMA iP110 a small, light printer with a 50-sheet paper capacity.
  • An optional rechargeable battery is available to take it on the road.
  • The iP110 connects with USB and with Wi-Fi, either on your network or directly with Canon's Access Point mode.

CONS

  • Print cartridges have low yield.
  • The optional battery is not included and is expensive.
  • The text printing quality is low.
Small and light enough to toss in your backpack, the Canon PIXMA iP110 is a true mobile printer. An optional rechargeable battery makes the printer completely portable. Connect it to your computer with USB, to your network with Wi-Fi, or to your mobile device using Canon’s version of Wi-Fi Direct. The two-cartridge printer doesn’t get much mileage to an ink tank, so per-page cost is a little higher than its predecessor, the PIXMA iP100. As a niche printer for mobile users, color photos are on par with drugstore prints, though text and graphics might not measure up.

This is a niche printer for limited applications, much more of a hobbyist machine or a business-pinch-hitter than a practical day-in, day-out solution. From that perspective, as long as you buy the Pixma iP110 with your eyes open, we’re all for it.
