PROS

  • The Erazer X315 offers decent performance for the price.
  • It should play even the latest games, assuming you're happy playing them on low-quality levels.
  • It doesn't have the over-the-top gaudy styling of many gaming PCs.

CONS

  • Don't expect to play the latest games on the highest quality settings. You'll be playing them at medium-to-low settings.
  • Multimedia performance is significantly slower than competitors, so this isn't an ideal system for demanding video or graphics work.
  • Lenovo included a hybrid hard drive rather than an SSD, which would've been faster.
Lenovo's Erazer X315 is a budget desktop gaming PC. While gaming PCs are typically high-end, expensive machines with some of the highest-end components available, the Erazer X315 takes a different approach. The resulting PC doesn't offer the fastest performance with the latest games on the highest-quality settings, but is a more affordable way to play those games at lower-detail settings. It's also appealing for gamers who primarily play older games and don't need the latest expensive hardware, but who need more than the usual integrated graphics provided on the average desktop PC.

As an entry gaming system, the X315 will meet the casual gamer's needs, with support for even the new titles, albeit at low detail.

You’re missing out on light-up this and pulsating-that, but that’s not what Lenovo is trying to get at with the Erazer.
