PROS

  • The Runtastic Moment comes in four versions, which offer a range of styles to meet different tastes.
  • The Moment is waterproof.
  • The mobile app works with Android, iOS and Windows devices.

CONS

  • Sleep tracking is manual, not automatic.
  • Many of the features of Runtastic's mobile app are only available with a paid subscription.
  • The Moment can be uncomfortable to wear, and its tracking isn't always accurate.
What would you get if you mixed a fitness tracker with an analog watch? Likely something a whole lot like the Runtastic Moment, a fitness wearable and analog watch in one. This device tracks your steps, distance, calories burned, and sleep, and--of course--tells the time. The Moment comes in four models: the $130 Fun and Basic versions, and the $180 Classic and Elite designs. All feature progress indicators on the face of the watch, allowing you to see your progress toward your daily goals, and all sync with Runtastic’s mobile app for detailed analysis.

The Runtastic lacks the weighty feel you'd normally associate with a quality watch, which jarrs a little with the Moment's looks. I could compare the feel to that of a cheap knock-off, but that would be a little harsh.

The most frustrating part about the Runtastic Moment line doesn't have to do with the devices themselves. Rather, it's the fact that Runtastic hides many features behind a paywall, making you subscribe to get access to daily tips, unlimited activity history and analysis, full goal setting features, and more.
