There's something for everyone on Netflix, including your adorable toddlers who would probably be pretty content watching mostly anything. But they don't have to watch anything — they can watch TV shows specifically designed for their growing brains.
Video of the Day
Netflix has some really great TV show options for toddlers — from educational cartoons to regular cartoons. There's literally hours and hours of programming dedicated to educating and entertaining your young kiddos. Many of the shows have multiple seasons, so while the options may seem endless, it's probably a good idea to establish some screen-time rules to keep the binge-watching to a minimum.
We've rounded up some of the best programming on Netflix for your toddlers up to around age four. Of course, kids of all ages can watch the shows and might find enjoyment out of them. And by "kids of all ages," we mean adults too.
Ask the StoryBots
Based on the educational apps, the StoryBots are curiously funny little creatures who live in the world beneath our screens and go on fun adventures to help answer kids' big questions.
Each episode features a special guest star you might recognize, like Jay Leno, Kevin Smith and Whoopi Goldberg.
Care Bears & Cousins
A revamped version of the Care Bears you probably remember from the '80s. The classic bears are all about teaching empathy, kindness and friendship.
So far, there are two seasons to watch. But if your kids roll through the show pretty fast, there are also two other Care Bear shows available to stream: Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot and Care Bears: Ups and Downs.
Cirque du Soleil: Luna Petunia
An adorable animated Netflix original series inspired by the Cirque du Soleil brand of creativity and entertainment — yes, the shows you may have seen in Vegas.
The show centers around a little girl named Luna Petunia who lives in our world but plays in a dreamland where anything is possible. Kids learn problem-solving skills, the importance of believing in themselves and all the amazing things their minds and bodies can do.
A remake based on the original show from over 40 years ago, Clangers are little alien creatures who make space a very special place.
The inquisitive and inventive Clangers go on life-affirming adventures on their planet.
Clifford the Big Red Dog
You remember Clifford, right? The Big Red Dog and his buddies are back and ready to entertain a new generation of kids.
Each episode of this classic series, based on Norman Bridwell's best-selling books, features two stories that emphasize "Clifford's BIG Ideas."
Justin Time and Justin Time Go are two shows your kids will love. The characters will take them to far away places.
Justin Time shows kids that friendship, adventures and fun are timeless.
Oona, her little brother Baba and their family are the cutest little birds who find adventure by setting out to explore the beautiful Irish island of Puffin Rock in each episode.
There are two seasons available to stream of this adorable, family-oriented show.
Sofia the First
As a young commoner girl whose mom marries the King, Sofia suddenly becomes royalty.
She learns that looking like a princess isn't hard work, but behaving like one needs to come from the heart.
Wyatt and his pals solve problems by looking into stories to solve puzzles. The show is one big adventure and helps kids with their key reading skills, including the alphabet, rhyming and spelling.
The show is based on the app of the same name, which you can purchase on iTunes for $3.99.
