Video of the Day

The first five Sega Genesis games launched on Thursday and include the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Comix Zone, Altered Beast, Kid Chameleon, and Phantasy Star II. After the launch of the first five games, more titles will be added to the collection every two weeks.

"As the Sega Forever collection expands through months and years it will include both official emulations and ported games that pan all Sega console eras, each adapted specifically for mobile devices while remaining faithful to the original games," the company explained.

Each game will be available for free, with the option to pay $1.99 to turn off ads. Cloud saves, Bluetooth controller support, and online leaderboards will be options, and you'll be able to play each game offline.

So not only will you be able to reconnect with your childhood games, you'll be able to introduce them to your kids. And that's pretty special.
